The Author Development Program is an opportunity for a Story Maker to work one-on-one with a Story Coach to bring their writing to the next level and that much closer to publication. A Story Maker will work through all or part of the manuscript with attention given to craft through critique and discussion, workshops and roundtable discussions with your Story Coach and, on occasion, with other participants in the program.
Success of the program is contingent on that Story Maker/Coach relationship.
The Story Maker gets to choose their Story Coach.
Successful inclusion in the line up of Story Coaches does not guarantee your participation in the program. Sell yourself in your application and your bio.
All genres accepted. The more diverse the better.
Included Genres (hopefully): Novel (all genres), Memoir, Short Story Collection, Screenwriting, Playwriting, Poetry
Program Expectations:
The Story Coach will read and review submissions and provide feedback on manuscripts, identifying areas that need improvement and giving suggestions through discussion, writing exercises, reference materials etc.
The program ends with a reading and celebration that may be done virtually.
