The Alexandra Reader
$10.00 The word "reader" in a title brings Memories. Our school readers introduced us to places and people that were strange to us, yet whose joys, sorrows, and challenges were strikingly familiar. We read stories, poems and articles that were humorous, sad, or sage; we devoured tales of mystery and adventure, stories so emotional they brought tears both from laughter and sorrow. We read poetic phrases so exquisite that we'd commit them to memory, to have and hold forever. The literary works in The Alexandra Reader are at once spiritual, reflective, humorous, and biting - all the things that make ordinary experiences extraordinary. |
