The Alexandra Writers Centre Society (AWCS) offers a wide variety of programs and services for writers of all skill levels. Many programs are free for members or at a discount. Our membership is annual. It starts from the month you join and will be valid for 12 months thereafter.
Instant discounts - Member discounts are automatically applied upon purchase of a membership. You can register for classes as a member at the same time of purchasing a membership. You do not have to wait for confirmation.

- Free drop-in programs - online and in person - Lit Lunches, Free Fall Fridays, Weekly Write-In, Write Now, Roundtables in memoir, fiction and poetry.

- A Frozen Frog Wand – a virtual wand that allows you to bring a friend to three different club or class meetings, or an event before the frog thaws and hops off. (workshops and camps excluded)
- Free admission to our centre for drop in programs such as critique groups, readings, social events, or just come to write during open writing times.
- The ability to take part in volunteer and leadership opportunities as well as occasional options to work with the larger creative community on bigger projects – a great way to flesh out that resume!

Author Support Program – This service is available to members after five consecutive years of membership. Whether you have a book launch coming up, a reading, or want to self-publish, AWCS can help. We can provide a venue for your launch (if space allows), or offer up to $500 to support your launch or other publishing endeavours. This is available once per 5 years and membership must be ongoing.
