Woolf's Voices is a quarterly event honouring the feminine poets, spoken word artists, storytellers, musicians, comedians, visual artists etc. in honour of Woolf, as in Virginia
Woolf's Voices is a safe intersectional space to honour and express the feminine in us all through poetry, music, art, spoken word, comedy, dance, performance art, etc. Woolf's Voices was established in 2013. Our mission is to honour the feminine us all and create more cultural space for us to do so in. Woolf's Voices has featured numerous artists of all genres. Pulling from Virginia Woolf's idea of "A Room of One's Own" to create a space of our own Woolf's Voices is committed to intersectionality in our programming and community outreach honouring all ages, abilities, bodies, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, fat positivity, sex positivity and more.
Sponsored by the Alexandra Writers' Centre Society.
