AWCS YOUTH PROGRAMS

Since 2010 our unique, youth-led, adult-mentored writing club has become a leader in youth literacy programming and a supportive hub for the youth creative community. We also offer in-school programs for students and workshops for teachers!

Our programs promote creativity, writing, collaboration and leadership. We coax creative youth away from isolation and anxiety and help them develop the skills to be confident writers, strong presenters, great team members, fearless leaders, amazing self-advocates, and compassionate members of the greater community.

Meet your people, make new friends, socialize, and learn! Whether you're a new writer or want to make writing a career, we have the program for you. Youth led / Adult mentored, we have inclusive, fun programs that will be sure to help you be your most creative self!

Teachers, librarians, and educational administrators, let us help bring the love of writing to your classrooms or PD Days! From our No Fear Series for topics like Shakespeare, Poetry, and Group Projects, to our Writers Toolbox, there is something for every classroom.

Find your people! Be weird! Meet others with as much creativity as you! We have fun events, a Youth Writing Retreat, and two (private) Discord servers where you can chat with others, share art, and game.

We have summer camps like no other. Geared towards kids who love to write, act, and play Dungeons and Dragons, you will find something you will love, in a creative community who supports your imagination.
