Gather round with a circle of friends and unleash your poetic muse!
Each week, Allissa Blondin invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and respond to
the call of the poetic muse. Participants will have the opportunity to write and workshop their poems in a supportive, encouraging environment, offering and receiving thoughtful feedback that deepens both confidence and creativity. Whether you are new to poetry or have been writing for years, this group offers a welcoming space to explore, experiment, and connect through the written word. At the end of each year, each writer will be invited to submit one poem for inclusion in our annual The Poet’s Table anthology: a celebration of the voice, verse, and vision that has emerged throughout the year.
We’ll use visualization and grounding techniques to get into the flow of writing and
then play with different themes, literary devices, poetic forms and structure, and experiment with the many ways poetry can manifest on the page. There will be space to reflect, write, revise, and reveal the unexpected.
Allissa Blondin is a writer and facilitator who empowers others to get curious about the creative world within. Her poetry has been featured in the Airdrie Public Library and airdrielife magazine. Beyond the page, she also hosts creative writing retreats and corporate journaling events designed to inspire reconnection with purpose and passion, strengthen creative voices, and spark meaningful conversation.
Link to access the sessions will be sent within 24 hours of the event.
*The Poet's Table runs every Sunday with the exception of long weekends.
