What’s the difference between a novel length book and a short story? For one, it’s shorter! This workshop will focus on giving writers the tools to engage readers quickly. We’ll also explore strategies for crafting short stories that transport readers swiftly into the narrative and keep them engaged. By the end of this workshop, participants will have a strong understanding of short story structure as well have an opportunity to workshop a short story that we can workshop throughout the course. The course is particularly suited for writers who are more experienced in long form and want to transition into short story writing.
This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.
