One-Day Workshop | Wednesday, August 6, 2025

9am - 12pm PT | 10am-1pm MT | 11am-2pm CT | 12pm-3pm ET | 1pm-4pm AT

Instructor: Sage Tyrtle

MEMBER PRICE: $60.00

NON-MEMBER PRICE: $80.00

What if you could relive a single day, changing one small choice each

time? Or split your life into parallel paths—who would you become? In

this workshop, we’ll braid time in two thrilling ways: looping

narratives (like Groundhog Day) and diverging timelines (like Sliding

Doors). Use fiction or your own life as raw material.

Takeaways:

  •   Craft stories where time bends, resets, or branches—with purpose.
  •   Mine tiny, pivotal moments for big emotional or speculative payoff.
  •   Structure nonlinear narratives without losing your reader.

For writers of memoir, sci-fi, and everything in between.

This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.

Sage Tyrtle has taught over 150 writing workshops since 2010. Her work

is available in New Delta Review, The Offing, Lunch Ticket, and Apex

among others. Words featured on NPR, CBC, and PBS, and taught in

schools. Read more at www.tyrtle.com.
