Writing can uplift, calm, and soothe. It can provoke laughter or empathy, a sense of recognition or belonging. It can take us away from our problems or dive into the heart of our stresses in a way that makes us feel seen. As writers, we can find solace in the act of writing. We can write for a cause or to connect with our fellow humans. When it feels like our lives are collapsing, we can turn to writing to find an oasis of peace or a place to safely express our inner selves. Each week, we will use prompts and narrative therapy techniques to create that space and community for ourselves. Sharing is encouraged, but certainly not required.
This class takes place online using the Zoom Web Conferencing platform.
