AWCS SUMMER - Collaborative Writing Camp
Collaborative Writing Camp
Grade 7-12 (entering)
July 21-25, 9 AM - 4 PM, In-Person
Come and write a book with other youth writers! Together, come up with a concept, create the characters, world, and plot, write the sections individually, and then edit together until perfect. Campers will also learn how to self-publish on Amazon's KDP platform and create all their own art and back cover synopsis. When we're not writing, we will have fabulous adventures, play beach volleyball (poorly most likely), visit the library, and get up to shenanigans. Join us today!

Delve deep into Dungeons and Dragons. Learn about all the classes through activities, art, writing, and games. Fight with swords. Build characters. Hike and explore. At the end of every day - play Dungeons and Dragons with your fellow campers.
Please Note:
that campers need to have an electronic device to write on that can connect to our Google Doc. Additionally, writers should have taken at least one course in creative writing OR have been writing on their own for at least 6 months.
Your youth will need the following social skills to take part:
- Able to follow basic requests (go there, sit and listen, work on X)
- Work well with others (we are a very collaborative programs - so this skill is essential)
- Be polite and respectful to other participants, the instructors, and volunteers.
And finally - your youth needs to WANT to be part of this program. We don't have the expertise or time to soothe VERY anxious youth who don't wish to be in the program.
