We're often told to dream big, no dream is unattainable, but is that entirely true? If we set unrealistic expectations on ourselves, or make goals that we have no control over, when we don't reach them we feel like a failure, give up, and then that big dream sinks into oblivion.
But what if we set small goals that build our confidence, and set us up for success? How great would that feel when we do get that short story published, a huge book deal, or we reach the Amazon Top 100 Bestsellers all because we took baby steps to get there?
Writing is hard. Come to this Lit Lunch where we will talk about our dreams, our goals and how to set ourselves up for success.
This program takes place in person at the Alexandra Writers’ Centre (AWCS), on the 4th floor of cSpace Marda Loop (map).
Robin van Eck writes fiction and creative nonfiction but hasn't submitted anything in a really long time.
Her first novel, Rough, was published in November 2020 by Stonehouse Publishing and her second novel should be complete by the end of 2024.
