Join facilitator Cristy Watson, for a fun and interactive session of creating poetry! This workshop is for everyone, including folks who are new to poetry or experienced poets, as well as writers of fiction and creative non-fiction. Even if you have never written a poem before, you will leave with a poem or two and several poetic lines to return to after the workshop. During this session, attendees will have an opportunity to ‘play with poetry’ using a variety of engaging activities and prompts to boost one’s writing. Both supplies and inspiration will be provided. You only need to bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.
Cristy Watson is an award-winning author of eight novels for middle-grade and young-adult readers, as well as having poems appear in several magazines and anthologies. Since retiring from teaching she has been busy with editing and mentoring authors, and participating in writing contests like the Poetry Marathon, the three-day novel contest, and NAPOWRIMO. She also offers creative writing workshops, along with volunteering at writing conferences and judging writing contests.
