The Complicated Path to Book Publication
The route to publishing a book can seem muddy, lengthy, and impenetrable for aspiring authors who are starting to query literary agents. In this Q&A, we will candidly explore how authors and agents start partnerships. How does a new writer find an agent if they don’t have the means to attend a conference or a MFA program? We’ll also answer questions about the querying process, what agents actually do and where to find legitimate ones on the Internet. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about finding “the right” agent. We’ll also cover submitting to small presses and contests as alternate routes to book publication
