Submission Guidelines:
Thank you for your interest in participating in this critique session. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Pre-registration: Participants must pre-register for the session. We can accommodate a maximum of 8 participants, with each participant allotted 15 minutes of review time.
- Submission Format: Submissions must be in easy-to-open file formats such as .doc, .docx, .rtf, or .txt. Please avoid submitting in PDF or Google Docs formats.
- Word Count: Submissions should be approximately 3000 words. If necessary, you can slightly exceed this count (up to 200 words) to complete a scene or thought, but please do not cut off mid-sentence or mid-paragraph.
- Font and Formatting: Use an easy-to-read font such as Helvetica, Georgia, Arial, or Times New Roman. Avoid extra spaces between paragraphs to conserve paper, as we print submissions for review.
- Contact Information: Ensure your name and email address are included on the first page of your submission.
- Manuscript / Submission Title: Include the title of your manuscript on the first page.
- Genre and Form: Indicate the genre and specify whether your manuscript is a short or long form on the first page. Please note that we do not accept poetry submissions.
- Submission Process: You may choose to send your manuscripts directly to me, and I will forward them to the review team. Please include a note in your email, and if you do not receive a confirmation of receipt within 48 hours, contact me directly. This measure ensures no submission is lost in transit.
- Optional: We love chocolate!
Important Dates: You will receive an email with more information once you are registered. We will require electronic submission at least one week before the scheduled review session.
We look forward to receiving your work and providing valuable feedback. Thank you for ensuring adherence to these guidelines, which helps us manage the review process effectively.
