Food nourishes us in many different ways. And what's celebration without food? What better way to celebrate the year's end with delicious treats like cookies.
Join us for a different kind of holiday party, one that connects us with each other as much as it does with our roots--family, community, and the place(s) we call home. We'll start the event with a special way to mark the winter solstice and celebrate the many ways we enjoy the holidays.
Bring your favourite cookies and stories! In addition to readings from our fellow writers Josephine LoRe and Kelly Kaur, we will hold space for attendees to share stories around food, celebration, community, and family, if anyone is comfortable to do so. Stories can be shared, impromptu or prepared (read).
This is a social, casual event, centered on celebrating each other and our stories.
Bring your favourite cookies, store-bought or homemade, gluten-free or vegan, and anything in between!
Come for an evening of cookies, stories and laughter. Reunite with old friends, make new ones and embrace the holiday season in the sweetest way.
