Whether you love to write erotica, wish you could (but you can’t, OMG, how do people even think such things!!), or are just curious what goes on in the minds of the authors who do, this workshop will help you apply the tools and rules that make for good, effective, “can’t stop reading” erotica to all of your writing. The workshop includes Freefall-style writing exercises to seduce your inner muse, ruthless editing tips and guidelines for beta-reading and critiquing steamy sex scenes.
This class take place in person at the Alexandra Writers’ Centre in Calgary.
M. Jane Colette writes tragedy for those who like to laugh, comedy for the melancholy, and erotica for people who like their fantasies real. She believes rules and hearts were made to be broken; ditto the constraints of genres.
Her novels include Tell Me, Consequences (of Defensive Adultery) Cherry Pie Cure and Text Me, Cupid. She’s currently working on a seven-book series called Fat Yoginis in Love and a rom-com about online dating.
