This event looks at some of the do's and do not do's of traditional publishing and how to maximise your chances of attracting agents and publishing houses to your work. From how to research agencies and agents that will best represent your wonderful manuscript, to what to keep in and out of a proposal letter. And even what trends the industry is looking for across ALL genres. There'll be a few handy tips, hacks and cheats along the way.

Jonathan Whitelaw is an award-winning writer, journalist and broadcaster. After working on the frontline of Scottish politics, he moved into journalism, covering everything from sports to music to radioactive waste – and everything in between.
