Immerse your reader into a world full of sounds, smells and vivid imagery. Develop a way to show politics, technology, fantastical elements or an era long forgotten. World building is a way to take your reader on a journey through your story and have them sense every moment. Readers want to believe the rules of a story with ease and flow. Writers in every genre and every level can benefit. This workshop will focus on the ground up of world building, how to make sense of your creative pile and what the reader needs. Each week will focus on a different area and there will be continuous exercises that will put those ideas to use. Each person should leave this course with ample scenes and an ability to meld world within your story.
This class takes place online using the Zoom web platform.
