Instructor: Judah Leblang
MEMBER PRICE: $375.00 (with member coupon AWCSM25)
NON-MEMBER PRICE: $500.00
This class focuses on creating flash memoir and essay pieces under 1000 words, as represented by journals such as Brevity and The Sun, and is appropriate for writers at all levels. We'll discuss concision in personal writing, and look at examples of powerful flash memoirs, short essays, and concise writing from book-length memoirs. Students will have at least two opportunities to share short works in progress, and obtain feedback on their drafts. By the end of the course, students will have developed new nonfiction pieces, and will have a deeper understanding of what makes writing "tight."
This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.
