Before and after publication comes rejection. Let’s blunt the pain, toughen our skins, and celebrate submissions and rejections. This 4-week course will explore short form publications, analyze their content, and cull publications down to those that fit your work.
We’ll also write to submit; critique and refine our work; edit and repeat; then, submit and celebrate. We will discuss the effectiveness of Submittable, Duotrope, The Short List, and other guides to markets. We will plumb publications for genre, style, integrity, and explore mastheads. We will set rejection goals. And we will submit.
This course is for anyone scared to submit and terrified of rejection. We’ll have an after-course meeting to celebrate our rejections!
This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.
