So… you are wise in the ways of Poetry Basics 1. Yet -- learn more, you must. Poetry Basics 2 was designed with you in mind. Whether PB1 was your first time writing poetry, or you took it as a refresher, in Poetry Basics 2, you'll take your poetry to the next level. Poetry is more than the sum of its clever devices. What else goes into a poem to make it sing for the reader or listener? And, how do we take a poem from first draft to polished gem? We'll combine learning, close readings, and peer workshopping (which we'll learn to do, gently, in a way that empowers the writer) so that we may improve poems and practice reading and/or performing them, all while building confidence. Ready to feel the force inside you? Register today!
Prerequisite: Poetry Basics 1 or equivalent
This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.
