Just about everyone has an idea for a story they think would be a great movie. But how do writers go from idea to actually putting the images and the story on the page? This course looks into the basic elements that go into writing a screenplay: how to think and write visually; how to format; how to develop characters and story; and how to create and shape effective dialogue. By the end of the course, students will have written a short screenplay, and started the process of becoming fluent in this unique creative form.
This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.
