In this workshop we'll explore ways to enliven your prose with techniques more often associated with poetry. How can you use rhythm and figures of sound to create meaning, emphasis, or emotion? What makes an effective image? How can you tap in to all of your senses? Whether you are writing in a lyrical style or simply want to enhance your descriptions, we'll put our sentences under the microscope, exploring how the choice of a word or even a syllable can impact your work. Come ready to do some writing.
This is an interactive online class using the Zoom web platform.
