Join the discussion with Samantha Jones and get some tips on diversifying your bookshelf, just in time for the holidays. Topics will include ideas for seeking out new voices and viewpoints, tips for keeping up with new releases and navigating backlists, reading small presses, and more!
This program takes place in person at the Alexandra Writers’ Centre in Calgary.
Samantha Jones (she/her) is a Calgary-based poet of mixed white settler and Black Canadian heritage. She is a literary magazine enthusiast with writing published in CV2, GeoHumanities, Grain, New Forum, Room, THIS, Watch Your Head, and elsewhere. Samantha is an alumna of the Banff Centre Spring Writers Retreat and the Iceland Writers Retreat. She is a PhD Candidate at the University of Calgary, a copyeditor, and the founder and facilitator of the Diverse Voices Roundtable for BIPOC Writers at the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society.
