Are you ready to get wordy? Feel like challenging yourself? Need that extra umph to get over the finish line? Join AWCS and your fellow writers for an intensive weekend of writing and community.
The goal? Words.
Wear your comfy writing pants, and fuzzy slippers and settle in for the long haul. Friday kicks off with a vibe check to meet your fellow writers who you will spend the weekend with. We will meet, chat, set goals, talk about common challenges, share some bubbly beverages. Then the rest of the weekend will be full of independent writing time in a creative environment, and some short intensive lessons on various aspects of writing, possible breakout discussion groups and other writing exercises to get the creative juices flowing.
This event takes place in person at the Alexandra Writers Centre Society.
Lunch and snacks provided.
