Join us for an evening of illuminating conversation with Robert J. Sawyer, one of the most celebrated voices in contemporary science fiction.
In his long writing career, Robert's stories are centred on the boundaries of consciousness, technology, identity, and the future of humanity. He is deeply committed to examining the philosophical questions at the heart of science fiction--from the nature of mortality and the mind to the intersections of science and spirituality.
Robert was listed in Quill & Quire's “The 30 Most Influential, Innovative, and Just Plain Powerful People in Canadian Publishing.” Only two other authors made that list: Margaret Atwood and Douglas Coupland (March 2008 issue.)
Dubbed the "dean of Canadian science fiction" by Ottawa Citizen and the CBC, Robert is also so far the only Canadian to win all three of the science fiction field's top honours for best novel of the year: the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award, and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award.
