Why do some love stories make readers melt… while others barely create a spark?
From the slow-burn yearning of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy in “Pride and Prejudice” to the soul-deep, time-expanding devotion of Jamie and Claire in “Outlander” and to the modern, heart-clenching rivals-to-lovers like Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander from “Heated Rivalry”, unforgettable romantic stories aren’t built on chemistry alone. They’re crafted with tantalizing tension, heart-clenching vulnerability, thrilling stakes (both high and low) and a payoff that leaves readers breathless and clamoring for more. Who doesn’t love a series?
In “How to Craft a Swoonworthy Romance”, you’ll learn how to:
- Create irresistible romantic tension that keeps readers turning pages
- Craft layered characters with emotional wounds and undeniable chemistry
- Build conflict that pulls lovers apart (without frustrating your audience)
- Write dialogue that crackles, aches, and lingers
- Deliver first kisses, toe-curling sex, and happily-ever-afters that truly satisfy
Whether you’re writing enemies-to-lovers, friends-to-lovers, historical passion, or contemporary heat, this course breaks down what makes iconic couples unforgettable and shows you how to cook up your own sweet or spicy creation.
This class takes place online via Zoom.
