IN PERSON Writing the Unsaid: Poetry Subversion

Explore how to craft bold, subversive poems that challenge conventions and address the untold. In this one-day workshop, poets will experiment with erasure, collage, fragmentation, and repetition to create work that is both raw and transformative.
This class takes place in person at the Alexandra Writers Centre Society
Tom Muir is a writer, poet and technologist who uses digital, print and spoken word mediums to explore ideas of identity and understanding. He is a co-founder and original Managing Editor of fillingStation Magazine, and has performed both solo and group work in bookstores, cafés, community halls, nightclubs and at festivals across Canada. His work has appeared in The Capilano Review, Queen Street Quarterly, and dANDelion Magazine, and in chapbook format through small press publishers such as housepress and Above/Ground Press. Outside of his day job as a Digital Strategist, he is currently working on completing a book-length long poem and a near-futurism novel, while playing board games and building robots with his family in his spare time.
