Suspense equals page turner. Suspense might gallop through the plot or it may lurk within setting or dialogue. It may appear to not appear on the page at all, yet it resonates between the lines, pricks our anxiety, heightens our intrigue. Join me, Rosemary Nixon, for an 8-week foray into uncovering through reading, writing, exploration and discussion, the secrets of suspense that will energize your work, and double your writing pleasure.

This is an interactive online course using the Zoom web conferencing platform.

Rosemary Nixon is a pre-eminent award-winning short story writer, novelist, freelance editor, and an editor for Freehand Press. She is working on her 5th book of fiction, second novel. Rosemary has her Masters in Fine Arts from UBC. She has done numerous writer-in-residencies in universities and libraries in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario including the University of Calgary’s Distinguished Writers Programme. She was awarded the Lois Hole Excellence in Editing Award in 2018.
