ONLINE Skeltonics: 16th Century Rap!
In the 16th century poet John Skelton invented the “Tumbling Verse” form Skeltonics. Its deliberately irregular meter of short, asymmetrical, rhyming lines produces the rapid-fire tumbling effect we see in today’s rap style. Like modern rap, the topics of your great great granddaddy’s rap can be anything from gods to gangstas.
