ONLINE Creative Non-Fiction: True Stories Well Told
Creative nonfiction has become the most popular genre in the literary community; large and small publishers alike are seeking CNF titles more vigorously than literary fiction and poetry. The genre includes travel writing, nature writing, science writing, sports writing, biography, autobiography, memoir, the interview, and personal essays. In this course, we’ll examine the Five R’s of creative non-fiction: Real life, Research, Write, Reflect, and Read. We’ll write a few first drafts, then choose one and improve upon it each week—and our readers will be as captivated by fact as they are by fiction.
