A creative 8-week course of work and play, immersing ourselves in my favourite creative exercises from one-pagers to paragraphs to single sentences and everything in between. They are fun, and wonderfully challenging. This 8-week class is guaranteed to springboard you to a higher level and leave you with pieces to send out to short fiction competitions or literary magazines or to immerse in your next novel or short story.

Rosemary Nixon is a short story writer, novelist, editor at Freehand Books and winner of the Lois Hole Excellence in Editing Award, 2018. Her books have won/been shortlisted for various awards. Her latest, Are You Ready to be Lucky received nominations for two international prizes: The Frank O’Connor Short Story Collection Award, and The North American Forewards IndieFab Prize. Rosemary has taught at Sage Hill Writing Experience, The Banff Center, in the University of Saskatchewan’s grad program, and served as writer-in-residence at several universities and libraries across Canada. She teaches occasional summers on the Island of Samos, Greece.
