The Dreaded First Draft
The most challenging thing a writer can do is submit to the process of writing the dreaded first draft, in all of its torturous glory. Getting started, working through hiccups, blocks, boredom, plot holes and life’s constant intrusions can derail even the most experienced authors, but all work–including bestsellers–has to start somewhere.
In this 10 week class, writers of all levels will take on the daunting yet achievable task of writing and completing a first draft of a full length fiction or nonfiction project. Strategies to get “unstuck”, writing tips, discussions on craft, and “story 911” will be used in addition to writing-in-class to get you from prologue to epilogue and everything in between.
