Why a Daisy?

The daisy used by the Alexandra Writers was taken from the cover of the Alexandra Reaser, a school text book used by the students at the Alexandra School and now the Alexandra Centre.

The founding members of the Alexandra Writers' Centre Society: Shirley Black, Michael Fay, Charles Flynn, Ralphine Locke and Arlene Watson liked the connection the daisy made between the school building of the past and the newly formed writers group and therefore adopted the daisy as their logo.
