Much like a peony that unfurls petal by petal from a tiny ball of leaves, a poem begins as a seed between layers of thought, growing onto the page line by line, revealing the immense splendour within. The Poetry Patch is a place to connect, unfurl, and nurture the rich garden of poetic musings within so we can cultivate the lush garden making its way to the surface. Whether you are sowing your first seeds or harvesting a rich bounty, writers of all levels are welcome.

In this weekly session, we invite you to gently pause, get curious, and notice the quiet call of the poetic muse. Together, we will explore poems that inspire, experiment with writing techniques, and express our thoughts through the vast world of poetry.

Allissa Blondin is a writer and facilitator who empowers others to get curious about the creative world within. Her poetry has been featured in the Airdrie Public Library and airdrielife magazine. Beyond the page, she also hosts creative writing retreats and corporate journaling events designed to inspire reconnection with purpose and passion, strengthen creative voices, and spark meaningful conversation.

Link to access the sessions will be sent within 24 hours of the event.

*The Poetry Patch runs every Sunday with the exception of long weekends.
