Everyone loves a juicy whodunnit! From Agatha Christie cozies to Louise Penny thrillers - crime and mystery fiction remains hugely popular. But how do you go about crafting your OWN crime stories? Join award winning author and journalist Jonathan Whitelaw for a crash course in mystery fiction - including crafting plots and motives and creating the perfect sleuths and villains. This event is co-hosted by AWCS and Analog Books.

Jonathan Whitelaw is an award-winning writer, journalist and broadcaster. After working on the frontline of Scottish politics, he moved into journalism, covering everything from sports to music to radioactive waste – and everything in between. He's also a regular reviewer, panellist, podcaster and commentator. Jonathan's cozy mystery series - The Bingo Hall Detectives - won the Lakeland Book of the Year prize for fiction in 2023. His latest novels are The Village Hall Vendetta and The Concert Hall Killer.
