You’ve written a novel! Congratulations! Before you self-publish or query that agent, before you unveil your masterpiece of commercial fiction to readers’ eyes, you need to…cough…get it ready for reader eyes, an intimidating process involving query crafting, themes, pacing, timeline integrity, plot hole detection, identifying comp titles…and that’s just the start!

If you see a published book in your future, but feel stymied by the steps ahead, join author Jaima Fixsen’s revision masterclass. In six weeks, you’ll learn techniques, tools, and strategies to hone your storytelling instincts, sharpen your editing eyes, and keep yourself on track. Learn the steps to traditional publication, and what you need to do now to succeed in selling your work.

This class takes place ONLINE using Zoom.

Jaima Fixsen is an author from Amiskwaciwâskahikan/ Edmonton in Treaty 6 territory. She has a dog and three kids and loves cycling and nordic skiing. Her books have been USA Today and Globe and Mail best-sellers, and her most recent novel, The Specimen, was a finalist in the 2025 Crime Writers of Canada Best Novel Award.

All of her books (so far) are historical fiction, and in 2026 she's excited to be publishing two books, All In Her Hands, the final book in a trilogy about an aspiring female surgeon in Victorian London, and a crime thriller, Don't Look Close. The latter of which is her first book set in Canada, and very close to her heart.
