October 18 Advanced Poetry - Susan Plett
A workshop designed to take your poetry to the next level. Do you feel your poems need an injection of something but you're not sure what? Do you want to try some new techniques with your work? Bring your poems to this day-long workshop. In a comfortable and supportive environment we'll discuss the practice of poetry, try different methods, and work on individual poems
October 25 Memoirs - Shirley Black
Rediscover old memories and get them down on paper. Join Shirley Black for a day of learning how to effectively remember and record the things that have shaped you.
November 1 Query Letter Clinic - Dee van Dyk
Do you have a great non-fiction idea for a magazine market, but aren't sure where to start? A well-crafted query letter can be the most important tool in establishing first contact and impressing an editor. Learn how to match your idea to a specific magazine and the elements of a stellar query letter in this one-day workshop. Website:

November 8 Short Story Intensive - Brad Carr
Come spend a Saturday teaching your short story how to walk or building legs for your idea to stand on. This is a writer's clinic, not a workshop, so you will not be asked to read or critique the work of others. Instead, you will spend the day engaged with your own writing through a series of intensive exercises designed to explore every aspect of your story, from character to setting to plot. Bring your story or idea and come ready to write!
November 15 Presenting Your Work to the Public - Bob Stallworthy
Do you want to improve your presentation style? Terrified of reading your work to an audience? Bob will help you identify various audiences and discuss what to wear, timing, delivery style, what to do if you make a mistake. We'll have some time to practise the techniques, so bring something of your own (or another writer's) to read
