National Novel Writing Month (Nanowrimo)

NaNoWriMo has been around for years. The idea being to buckle yourself to the seat and write. 50,000 words during the month of November. It’s just for fun and Anne Lamott would applaud you for your “shitty first draft”. Read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott for some great writer advice and a good chuckle.

AWCS wants to help you reach that goal.

We will be open extended hours Monday to Thursday through November for you to come in and write. Members can come in for free, non-members pay a nominal $5 drop in. See Calendar of Events for Open Writing Times or register for one of our Word Sprints.

Four Thursdays in November (November 2, 9, 23 & 30) join us for Word Sprints from 7pm to midnight, and really punch out some words with other writers. Registration required. Please see National Novel Writing Month on the courses page.

What are you waiting for?
