AWCS Manuscript Critique Service

You receive comments on:
- story strengths and weaknesses
- writing style
- ways to improve and develop story
- publication suggestions

Questions? You're allowed three. However, this is not an editorial service.

Fee: AWCS Members: $2.50 per page, Non-Members: $5 per page (excluding cover page), maximum 25 pages (acceptable page count may be increased depending on critiquer availability.) Reviewers are published writers experienced in critique.

Autobiography
Children's Stories
Creative Non-Fiction
Novels
Plays/Scripts
Short Stories
Youth/Young Adult
If you have written something not on this list, please enquire in advance.

How to Submit
a) Manuscripts must be typed, double-spaced, on one side of white paper in plain 12-point font.
b) Minimum one inch margins on the top, bottom, left, and right of page, with a "ragged right" (not justified) margin.
c) Include a cover page with story title, word count, author's name, address, phone number, and e-mail (if available).
d) Subsequent pages must be numbered and indicate story title.
e) Enclose a cheque or money order payable to the Alexandra Writers' Centre Society and SASE with sufficient postage for return of manuscript.
f) email submissions may be accepted, however you will not receive your manuscript back (this will depend on critiquer preference.)
g) Please enquire in advance.
h) Please allow 2-4 weeks for full critique to be returned.
