editing & proofreading services
Get your manuscript publication ready.
ABOUT OUR EDITING SERVICESBefore hiring an editor you should know exactly what kind of editing you want or need to make your manuscript the best it can be. Whether you are planning to self-publish or want your manuscript as clean as can be before submitting to publishers or agents it's always worth having another set of eyes on your work.
No two editing experiences will be the same. You have different experiences and needs for your manuscript. Please note, this service is designed specifically with the longer work in mind: novellas, short story collections, memoirs, and novels. Occasionally, we can accommodate the poetry manuscript. If you have a short story that needs review, or a poetry manuscript, please see our Manuscript Review Service. |
Developmental/Substantive EditingFor detailed feedback with manuscript comments and suggestions. This is an in-depth edit that will point out strengths and weaknesses, focusing on the overall structure, content and flow of the manuscript. You will get a comprehensive review on such areas as character development, setting, plot, structure, dialogue, and more. This level of editing does not address mechanical needs.
